Laura's Likes: Wake Up Edition

Posted: Updated:

In this week’s Laura’s Likes, she has some ideas to help you put a skip in your step.

Mornings can be a little rough for some of us, so here are some products that might help you get up and go or just put a kick in your morning routine.

Caffeinated Shaving Cream and After Shave

Caffeine for many of us is essential. There is now a brand new product that delivers the pick-me-up drug in a unique way.

The Pacific Shaving Company's caffeinated shaving cream and after shave is trying to rev up the shaving experience in an all-natural and organic way.

They started developing these products last year and are hitting store shelves this month.

The company says they use antioxidant-rich, naturally-derived caffeine, plus aloe and spearmint.

Why caffeine? They say it is high in antioxidants and helps reduce the appearance of redness and keeps your skin looking and feeling healthy.

There are no synthetic fragrances. They are vegan and paraben-free.

And since it is Earth Day, it is important to mention the Pacific Shaving Company is an Earth-friendly company. For every sale, they plant a tree through the organization Trees for the Future.

It is about $9 a bottle for the shaving cream and aftershave. You can buy them through Harris Teeter and Amazon also carry them.

If you are an iced coffee person, this might be the drink for you. RealBeanz has new approach on the classic iced coffee.

It is made with premium brewed coffee. Then they add flavors and enhance it with vitamins and herbs.

They are low in calories with no artificial flavorings, color or sweeteners. And no preservatives.

They have seven options and even have a decaf version.

You can make smoothies out of them or warm them up in the microwave or drink them on ice.

You can buy these online at Whole Foods also carries them. They start at $2 a bottle.

Cup Pilot

Here is a product that will make your morning routine or your travel routine a whole lot smoother.

I often use my cup holders for everything but the cup. And on the plane, I often struggle to find a place to put your coffee only to precariously rest it in the seatback in front of you.

The Cup Pilot is a simple compact cup holder you can take anywhere. It folds down so you can pop it in your purse or computer bag.

It attaches to an airline seatback tray. You can hook it on a suitcase or on your air vents in your car. And while we're at it, you can take it on a train or a boat.

No coffee? Use it to hold your glasses, cell phone, etc.

Patrick Garahan, a frequent flier and the former secretary of transportation in the state of Vermont, invented this after he spilled coffee one too many times on a flight.

It is $19.95 on Amazon carries them too.
