Police release video of suspect in Northwest DC sexual assault, robbery of another man

WASHINGTON -

D.C. police is asking for the public's help in finding a man suspected in a sexual assault. They have released new video of the suspect leaving the scene in Northwest D.C.

The video isn't long, but police hope it is enough to help catch the suspect. He is accused of sexually assaulting and robbing another man.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. Police say he was armed with a dark-colored handgun.

Police say the attack happened around 4 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of 3rd Street, NW.

A man told police he was walking in the area when an unknown man approached him and asked for directions. The victim says the man guided him into a nearby alley where he pulled out a gun and then sexually assaulted him. The suspect robbed the victim before taking off.

DC Crime Solvers currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
