LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities have re-arrested a Phoenix woman accused of throwing a shoe at Hillary Rodham Clinton while she gave a convention speech at a Las Vegas Strip resort.

A spokeswoman for U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden in Las Vegas said Tuesday that 36-year-old Alison Michelle Ernst was taken into custody Monday evening in Phoenix.

Ernst was due to appear Tuesday before a magistrate in Phoenix on federal misdemeanor trespassing and violence against a person charges. Each count could get her up to a year in federal prison.

Ernst was freed last week with a June 24 court date in Las Vegas after her arrest on a local misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge.

The shoe missed Clinton, and Ernst surrendered to authorities Thursday at a ballroom at the Mandalay Bay resort.
