WASHINGTON -

The rain and heavy wind in the area Tuesday have caused some storm damage in the D.C. area.

A large tree fell onto two parked cars along Garfield Street in Northwest D.C. The branches also grazed an apartment building, but it did not appear to break any windows.

FOX 5 Photojournalist Craig Little was at the scene and tweeted out this photo of the damage.

A huge white oak tree came down on a home along Royal Road in Hillandale, Md. The tree also crashed onto a couple of cars, but no one inside the home was injured.
