Alhambra, CA -

(FOX 11 / CNS) Authorities today searched the campus of Alhambra High School after someone reported the smell of gasoline coming from an office, police said.

Officers and firefighters were sent to the school at 101 S. Second St. shortly after 7 a.m., said Alhambra police Lt. Dan Rodriguez.

Students already on campus were evacuated to an athletic field, as were those who later arrived at the school, Rodriguez said.

The search for the source of the gasoline odor was continuing about 90 minutes later, Rodriguez said.
