The Heartbleed security flaw is no joke. Websites, social networks, services, networking equipment, and web-enabled hardware may all be vulnerable.

Here are some steps to take right now:

1. Use the LastPass Heartbleed checker to see if websites you use are vulnerable and/or if they have installed security patches.

2. Check the website of your home router's manufacturer to see if it has been compromised. Make sure to download any software updates and security patches.

3. Download software updates for any web-enabled devices you have in your home, such as Blu-ray players, smart TV sets, streaming video boxes, thermostats, and other appliances that communicate via the Internet through your router or some other way.

4.. Change your passwords if the website has implemented security patches. This is a list of websites, social networks, and web services that may be vulnerable and for which Mashable recommends you change your password:

Richie Sambora spent 30 years as the lead guitarist of rock band Bon Jovi. Nowadays, he's touring with Orianthi, the former lead guitarist for the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. “We’ve been tearing it up. It’s been the improvisational thing. It’s a very exciting thing," said Sambora during Good Day New York. The New Jersey native from "a blue collar, working class family" missed home and watching his daughter grow.
