Jessica Hopes To Paint A Forever Picture With A New Family

Posted: Updated:

With spring in the air, it's a good time for a little self-care. Taking time out from our usual and often hectic routine to do something relaxing ... or something that taps into our often-neglected inner-artists … is important. And it was this kind of break that Jessica (2003) joined us for as we made a day of it at Color Me Mine in Valencia, California – just sitting and chatting and painting.

Jessica is an active girl with diverse interests. She's artistic, athletic and a very good student. Jessica hopes to be a marine biologist someday, so it was no surprise that she picked a ceramic whale to paint. Bubbly and articulate, Jessica shared with us that she wants a safe and permanent family that will love her for who she is and not give up on her.

Taking a break and enjoying a "play day" is one way to refresh our inner strength, and perhaps one thing that allows Jessica to keep a positive disposition. Jessica also possesses an openness and willingness to share feelings in spite of her past. We are hoping to assist Jessica in finding a
forever family that will be there for her and help her not just sustain but live a productive and balanced life.

Should an employer have any say in how much time you spend in the bathroom on company time? According to an article on CNN.com, Chicago's Watersaver Faucet Company installed swipe card systems on bathrooms at their factory in an attempt to limit bathroom breaks to 6 minutes or less. WaterSaver disciplined nineteen workers for what they call "excessive use" of washrooms. FOX 5’s Wisdom Martin has more.
