EF1 tornado strikes Spalding County

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. -

According to the National Weather Service a dangerous tornado touched down in Spalding County Monday night.

Spalding Residents were convinced that a tornado came through the county Monday night, but the National Weather Service had to come and look for the evidence.  

Trees were torn everywhere in lots of different directions, some split in half. These are telltale signs of a tornado.

The national weather service is currently classifying the Spalding tornado as an EF1 tornado. We're told that winds came through Spalding at 90 to 100 miles an hour.
