Only On Fox: State Investigators Raid Delco Company In Widening PennDot Probe

FOLCROFT, Pa. -

Only Fox 29 was there as investigators from the state  Attorney General's Office swooped down on the headquarters of V-Tech Services Inc. on Chester Pike in Folcroft Tuesday. They came with search warrants in a widening public corruption probe involving PennDot. Employees arriving for work were stunned.
 
"The laws in and out. I don't know what for," one employee told Fox 29. When asked if he was concerned about that, he said, "Anybody's concerned if you work there."
 
"It's painful because he's like family, been around a lot of years," another employee said.
 
The raid by special agents of the AG's office comes just days after Fox 29 first reported that high profile PennDot supervisor Nick Martino has been told by letter that he's the target of a state grand jury probing possible corruption at the sprawling highway agency. His lawyer says that's nonsense.
 
"At the end of ther day, the most important thing is that Mr. Martino has done nothing wrong," Attorney Anthony Voci told Fox 29.
 
Martino has been suspended since late March. His $83,000 a year salary halted. PennDot has refused to comment on martino's departure, citing personnel matters.
 
"They're certainly not going to find any crimes on the part of my client. Whether or not they find some improprieties with respect to the subcontractors or others at PennDot that remains to be seen," Voci said.
 
We tried to contact the owner of V-Tech, but no one answered the phone there and the answering machine was full. Sources tell Fox 29, Martino and V-Tech services have also drawn the attention of corruption investigators for District Attorney Seth Williams. 
 
"The city and state agencies are both investigating the same thing at the same time. Maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe they just can't play well in the same sandbox," Voci said.

A spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office would not comment. A spokesman for the Attorney General's Office would not comment on the raid today.
