Vandals hit N. Phoenix neighborhood; damage 50 cars

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX -

Residents in a valley neighborhood woke up Monday morning to find that someone had damaged their cars.

This happened near Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road.

Phoenix police say they've received around 50 reports regarding damage from people who had their cars parked in the road and driveways in the area.

Some cars had shattered windows, while others had even more damage.

Police believe a BB or pellet gun was used and that cars were picked at random.

"..frustrating you know.. it's as you see I'm here today in the afternoon.. I have a lot of work that all of a sudden gets changed around.. inconvenience and frustration.. that someone would just come by and do that," said Jill Kirkpatrick.

At this point, police do not have a suspect.

If you have any information about this case, call the Phoenix police at (602) 262-6151 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.
