CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two people were killed and at least 25 others were hurt in shootings across the city since Friday night.

The most recent fatal shooting occurred Saturday night in the South Side Burnside neighborhood.

Police discovered 16-year-old Michael Flournoy III with a gunshot wound to the head at 7:53 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 93rd Street, authorities said.

Flournoy, of the 8000 block of South Evans Avenue, was dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner's office.

Flournoy, a sophomore and football player at Simeon Career Academy, was on his way to pick up chips at a store when he got into a fight with some other boys who beat him up and shot him, according to family members. No one is in custody.

A man was killed and five other people were shot at a house party early Saturday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The six were all shot about 1:10 a.m. Saturday at a party in a two-flat in the 4300 block of West Wilcox Street, police said.

Partygoers were standing on a second-floor back porch when someone began firing shots at them from the alley, police said. When the people began running inside, a person opened fire from the front entrance of the building.

Jordan Harris, 24, of the 3000 block of West Jackson Boulevard, was shot in the throat and taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he later died, according to the medical examiner's office.

A 23-year-old man shot in the shoulder and back was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A 32-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and taken to Mount Sinai in "stable" condition, and a 27-year-old woman shot in the foot also was taken to Mount Sinai in good condition, police said.

Another woman, 25, was shot in the buttocks and also taken to Stroger Hospital. She was listed in "stable" condition, police said.

A 43-year-old man was shot in the foot and taken to Rush University Medical Center in good condition, police said.

Between 2 and 3 a.m., several dozen people gathered outside Stroger Hospital, many of whom were crying after learning of the death of the 24-year-old man. One man was pacing through the parking lot, crying and screaming "He's f–ing dead!" into his cell phone.

The most recent non-fatal shooting happened about 12:20 a.m. Monday in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

A woman, 32, was walking with two males at West 59th Street and South Campbell Avenue when two gunmen across the street opened fire, police said. The woman was shot in the shoulder, thigh and backside and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition. Both of the males, who were not injured in the attack, and the woman all have gang affiliations, police said.

Less than two hours earlier, a 29-year-old man was shot while driving in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Sunday night.

The man was driving in the 4600 block of West Division Street at 10:55 p.m. when someone in another vehicle fired shots at him, police said. He was shot in the abdomen and drove himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he is listed in serious condition. Police said he is being transferred to Stroger Hospital.

At least 18 other people have been shot across the city since early Friday. No one is in custody for any of the shootings as area detectives investigate.
