SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. -

The gunman is still on the loose, but friends and customers of store clerk, Kelly Wood, are going all out to help her after she was shot twice in the head by a robber on March 8.

The shooting took place at the Fas Mart convenience store at the Valero gas station on Brock Road.

Customers say the 32-year-old store clerk will need multiple facial reconstruction surgeries. Signs posted at the store notify customers there are two fundraisers coming up this Saturday.

One is a bike ride at 11:30 a.m. at 8905 Courthouse Road. The other is a bake sale with fun for the kids at the Locust Grove Towne Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 32311 Constitution Highway.

Captain Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office says they have had more than 200 leads and are continuing to follow others.

Surveillance video shows the gunman with a distinctive black goatee. He is described as white, 25 to 35 years old, 5'4” to 5'7”, weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and jeans and was armed with a small caliber handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the county sheriff's office at 540-582-7115 or contact Crime Solvers.
