MENTAL HEALTH BEDS - 10:00 am The night before Virginia St. Senator Creigh Deeds was stabbed by his son, who later killed himself, the older Deeds tried and failed to get his son admitted to a mental health facility. Turns out there there were no beds available. If there is one theme that runs through all of the mass shooting incidents it is mental healthcare. Today the Senate Aging Committee opens hearings into the fallout and consequences for Seniora due to Medicare fraud, and how the continued abuse drives up healthcare coats for everyone. Dirksen 562

OBAMACARE DEADLINE EXTENDED - When is a deadline not a deadline? You know that Obamacare policy you haven't gotten around to signing up for, well you're going to have more time to signup for it. Last night White House officials said a "grace period" will create an honor system for people who've had "special circumstances" that prevented them from finishing by March 31. It's not clear how long the extension is going to last. The White House is trying to meet a goal of 6 million signed up. There have been calls to extend the deadline to April 15th to allow people to use their tax refunds.
