CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Be someone's fairy godmother by donating!

The Glass Slipper Project and clothing recycler USAgain have partnered to accept dress donations in advance of their prom dress giveaway events next month.

They will collect new or gently used prom or bridesmaid dresses for their Prom Goes Green dress boutiques Friday through Monday.

Thousands of dresses will be available at no cost to students. Girls will also have a chance to choose jewelry and accessories. They will also receive free consultations for hair and makeup.

The dress boutique events will take place on April 5, 12, and 26 at Price School on South Drexel Avenue.

Shoppers need only to present their valid student ID from any local high school - public or private, city or suburban - to take one home.
