SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -

A mother faces child abuse charges after allegedly leaving her two young children in a vehicle while she went on a job interview.

Scottsdale police say a witness heard a child crying inside a SUV that was parked outside an office complex near 90th Street and Via Linda on Thursday.

A 2-year-old boy and a 6-month-old boy were inside the vehicle, which had the engine off, the doors closed and each of the four windows only slightly opened.

The car was reportedly parked in the direct sunlight and the witness didn't see an adult around.

Police released the 911 call the witness made, which says in part, "There's a baby in a car by itself at my work...and it's like 3 or 4-months-old and they have the window maybe a inch down. He's crying, he's parked in a Dodge Durango."

Police arrived at the location and say about 45 minutes after the witness arrived, Shanesha Taylor returned to her SUV.

Taylor allegedly told officers that she had just finished a job interview and didn't have anyone to watch her children.

She was arrested and booked into jail for child abuse.

Child Protective Services responded and took custody of the children.
