Piada Italian Street Food is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony in Shelby Township Friday.

The new Italian restaurant is giving away free food for year for the first 100 people to arrive Friday.

The restaurant is located at 15089 Hall Road, Shelby Township.

This is the second Piada restaurant in Michigan for the Ohio-based chain with more than 17 restaurants.

The first location in Troy opened in November with hundreds of guests camping out in the rain to win free Piada for a year.
