Senate bill revived protecting gun owners from misconduct charges

Posted: Updated:

Arizona's State Senators have re-introduced a bill that would let gun owners bring a gun into a building banning firearms if the building does not have storage lockers.

The creator of the bill, Senator Rick Murphy, re-introduced the bill after it failed in a tow vote last week.

This week the Senate voted 16-13 to approve the bill Monday.

Under the proposed bill, it would exempt gun owners from a misdemeanor misconduct involving weapon's charge.

The House of Representatives passed a bill that would allow concealed carry permit holders to bring firearms into government buildings.
