CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Irving Park Road was blocked for more than four hours Tuesday afternoon when a semi truck got stuck underneath a Kennedy Expressway overpass (I-90/94) on the Northwest Side.

All lanes of Irving Park Road became blocked about 3:35 p.m. when a semi became stuck underneath the exit ramp of the expressway near Pulaski Road, CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis said.

Eastbound and westbound buses were diverted from Irving Park for more than four hours due to the street blockage, the agency reported. As of about 8:10 p.m., the temporary reroute had ended.

It was not immediately known whether anyone was hurt in the crash.
