A loving mother paid special tribute to her newborn son who died after only five days by building a sandbox on his grave so that his older brother could play near him.

Ashlee Hammac’s new baby boy Ryan died when he was just five days old from Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephlopathy - a condition that happens when the brain doesn’t get enough oxygen.

In a loving tribute, Ashlee transformed his grave into a sandbox that her older son, 3-year-old Tucker, could spend time with him.

According to the DailyMailOnline, Ashlee wanted a tribute that her 3-year-old could relate to.

While baby Ryan died much too young, his death was not in vain. His healthy heart was donated to a baby in need.
