Father Arrested After Heroin Found On 2 Year Old Son

Posted: Updated:

A Paterson, New Jersey man is under arrest for allegedly using his 2-year-old son as a drug mule.

Phillip Young, 27,  is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say a teacher at Michael's Energy Factory, a local day care center, called the police after finding 48 glassine envelopes of heroin in the boy's jacket after young dropped the toddler at the center.

The school is not commenting on the case, and now parents are angry they weren't told about the incident.

"My babies are in this school. Mind you, he endangered his own children on top of mine. I don't appreciate that and then the director or whoever she is has the nerve to tell me 'I don't know what you want me to tell you.' Are you kidding me," said parent, Countswella Lampley.

Phillip Young is being held on $85,000 bail.
