Today is Wednesday, March 12, the 71st day of 2014. There are 294 days left in the year.

CIA SENATE SPYING - Did the CIA spy on the US Senate? Sen. Dianne Feinstein chair of the Intelligence Committee says CIA may have committed a crime by improperly searching a computer network established for Congress as part of its investigation into allegations of CIA abuse in a Bush-era detention and interrogation program. The matter has been referred to the Justice Department by the CIA inspector general. CIA Director John Brennan is denying the allegations. Others went further: Sen. Lindsey Graham, said "Heads should roll, people should go to jail if it's true. If it is, the legislative branch should declare war on the CIA."

TWO FERNS = OBAMACARE VISITS - Who's laughing now? President Barack Obama’s Funny or Die video with Zach Galifianakis has spiked traffic to HealthCare.gov. The video has been watched 10 million times. By 6 p.m last night the video had directly sent 32,000 users to HealthCare.gov. About 95% of the referrals that came directly from the video brought new visitors to HealthCare.gov. It's a "told ya so" moment for The White House. Press secretary Jay Carney spent much of his briefing defending the video and whether the appearance by the President was so how demeaning to the office of the Presidency

UKRAINE P.M. TO D.C. - 2:45 pm Washington gets a visit from Ukraine Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk today. He's coming to DC to discuss Russian troops taking control of the Crimea region of his country. President Obama will welcome Yatsenyuk of Ukraine to the White House today. The administration says the discussions will focus on finding a peaceful resolution to Russia’s ongoing military intervention and how the international community can help Ukraine confront the resulting economic challenges it faces.

OVERTIME PAY PUSH - If you work overtime, you should get overtime pay right? Well that not always the case. Tomorrow the White House will direct the Labor Department to strengthen overtime pay protections for millions of workers. The directive is meant to help salaried workers, such as fast-food shift supervisors or convenience store managers, who may be expected to work more than 40 hours a week without receiving overtime pay. For example change could raise the pay threshold for workers covered by overtime rules. Currently, salaried workers who make more than $455 per week are exempt from overtime. The move does not need Congressional approval.
