Does 'Titanfall' live up to the hype?

Since "Titanfall" was announced in June 2013, anticipation has reached a fever pitch. Now that copies are finally in the hands of gamers, "Titanfall" seems to be delivering on the hype.

From the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, to a GameStop in Midtown, Manhattan, players across the country don't have to wait any longer for "Titanfall."

"Titanfall" invites players to go head to head in a futuristic war-torn setting, as special ops soldiers or pilots of robotic wrecking machines. This giant of a game breathes new life into a stale first person shooter genre and will set the bar for future games like it.

With no single-player option, "Titanfall" takes the multiplayer mayhem from "Call of Duty" and "Battlefield" games to new heights. The entire game is an online competition against other players.

It's no wonder gamers all over are overwhelming the "Titanfall" servers. Since the title was announced last June, it has won over 70 awards, ratcheting anticipation for this game up to a fever pitch. Microsoft is counting on the buzz from this blockbuster to sell more of their newest all-in-one gaming and entertainment system, the Xbox One.

Early feedback and reviews indicate Microsoft may get their wish, and that "Titanfall" is here to stay. It is available now for $60 for Xbox One and PC. It'll be available for Xbox 360 on March 25.
