Spring Into Fun at the Santa Monica Pier

Posted: Updated:

(FOX 11) Daylight saving time is here and that means more fun on the Santa Monica Pier! That's why I'm spending the morning at this iconic landmark to check out a new dining spot and a few old favorites. The brand-new Ristorante Al Mare proves that there's more to hamburgers and hot dogs on the Pier. This place offers great views and made-from-scratch Italian pastas, pizza, pastries, seafood and even housemade butter. For the ultimate adventure, there's the Trapeze School, open seven days a week for beginners and pros alike. This is my first time EVER on a trapeze, so I'm a little nervous yet excited to have my own Carrie Bradshaw moment! And let's not forget Pacific Park, the West Coast's only amusement park on a pier. There are a dozen different rides, including the Pacific Wheel, the world's only solar-powered Ferris wheel with priceless 360 degree views. For more info, make sure to check out www.santamonica.com.
