Phoenix restaurant worker accused in shootings

PHOENIX (AP) - Bond is set at $375,000 for a Phoenix restaurant employee accused of shooting and wounding one fellow worker and firing a shot at another.

Maricopa County Superior Court documents show 33-year-old David Donald Ong was arrested Sunday outside the Good China restaurant on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, possession and a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Phoenix police responded to the scene and found one of the restaurant's cooks with a gunshot wound to his head.

The man told authorities that Ong shot him while he was cooking in the kitchen.

Ong is a waiter at the restaurant and reportedly believed the kitchen workers were making fun of him.

The cook told police that he and other kitchen workers speak Spanish and Ong does not.
