CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Northbound Red Line trains were delayed Monday morning after a fire was reported on the tracks.

Howard-bound Red Line trains stopped about 10:10 a.m. at the Roosevelt station due to a "minor" fire at the track level, according to the CTA.

Trains were on the move again by 10:22 a.m., but were operating with residual delays, the CTA said.

Passengers affected by the interruption were encouraged to use the No. 29 State, the No. 36 Broadway and the No. 22 Clark bus routes as alternatives, the CTA said.
