Pregnant Wife Of State Trooper Found Dead In Montgomery County

EAST NORRITON, Pa. -

A pregnant woman was shot and killed inside a home in East Norriton. It happened Friday afternoon at around 2:30p.m. on the 300 block of Stoney Creek Road.

Police are trying to figure out what exactly happened inside the residence. Officials say the woman was taken to Mercy Suburban Hospital where she and her unborn child were later pronounced dead. 

Her husband is a PA state trooper out of the Skippack Barracks. Investigators say he called 911 while at home with their two son at the time incident.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and east Norriton Police Chief Karyl Kates announced the joint investigation late Friday afternoon.

Officials would not say if the gun was issued by a law enforcement agency.
