Elderly Woman Crashes Her Pickup Truck Into Grocery Store

A grocery store in Las Vegas reopens after a frightening crash. More than two dozen people were injured after an elderly woman plowed her pickup truck through the store's front doors.

"She was so small and so old. She shouldn't be driving," recalls witness, Angel Motalvo.

Angel Montalvo grabbed his cell phone and started recording this scene after an elderly woman rammed her pickup truck right through the front entrance of a food 4 less store.

"I didn't think it was going to go inside. I thought it was going to stop, but it just kept on driving through, he explains.

On Saturday, the grocery store was packed with shoppers when Montalvo says the woman's truck ricocheted off another car, and then plowed on through the store.

Montavlo continues, "The checkout aisles...it just wiped them clean like they were not even there. It was just a big gap. There were people on the floor. There was a big mess everywhere. It was kind of like in a movie. It was a scary site."

Police say 26 people were injured, including two children.  Nine were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"Somebody was under a soda machine. They helped her out of it, but she couldn't get up. There was another guy on the floor. He wasn't moving at all. One of the people I work with that I know had a cut on his face. He was bleeding pretty badly," said Montavlo.

Now, shoppers wonder whether the woman should have been driving.

"There should be some type of restriction as to, first of all, elderly driving. Especially when they're on medications," said a shopper.

Police are still trying to figure out how the woman lost control of the car.
