Selfie photos may contribute to spread of head lice

Posted: Updated:

It's one of the most popular ways to snap a picture these days -- the selfie!

But now some doctors say it could be to blame for spreading head lice!

Some head lice-treatment experts say they've seen a rise in teen lice cases and believe the selfie is to blame.

To take selfies, many people huddle close together -- touching heads.

But other doctors are hesitant to blame the photo craze pointing out that the most common ways for lice to spread is through the sharing of combs, hats and bedding.
