Winter weather advisory issued, more snow coming Wednesday

Posted: Updated:
If you were surprised by the heavier than expected snowfall we got this morning, don’t be surprised when you wake up to more of the white stuff tomorrow.  A new winter weather advisory has been issued, and we’ve got more snow on the way across the D.C. region.

FOX 5’s Sue Palka says the advisory is in effect from 1 am to noon on Wednesday, and covers much of the FOX 5 viewing area.  Another 1-3 inches is possible.  It may even be enough to cause delays for the morning commute.

There could be some issues on roads that are untreated because of the timing of the snowfall, and Palka says there also could be an uncomfortable wind during the afternoon hours.

Things look even colder by Friday when the high is only expected to reach 30 degrees!  We'll see a bit of a warmup by the weekend with highs around 40.
