Man suspected of impersonating cop during alleged road rage incident involving off-duty officer

HANOVER, Md. - A man faces charges after allegedly impersonating a cop during a suspected road rage incident involving an off-duty police officer.

The incident happened On February 19 in Hanover.

An off-duty Prince George’s County Police officer told investigators that while she was driving on Dorsey Road, a silver Chevy Impala pulled up next to her and a male suspect displayed a badge while yelling at her through the window.

The off-duty officer told police that the driver pulled ahead of her, slammed his breaks, and kept changing lanes, making it unable for her to pass.

The off-duty officer was able to pull off of the road and contact police. The victim was identified and and surrendered himself to investigators.

The driver was identified as 20-year-old a private investigator Jack Tyler Chandler.

The investigation is continuing at this time.
