2 suspects sought in attempted sexual assault of 17-year-old girl

WASHINGTON -

D.C. police are looking for two suspects involved in an attempted sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl Wednesday afternoon.

Police say two males approached the girl walking in an alley at around 5:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of 9th Street in Northwest D.C.

One of the suspects pushed the girl to the ground and attempted to sexually assault her, but she was able to resist and fight off the suspect and get away to a nearby home for help. One of the suspects took property from the victim during the attack. Both suspects then fled.

The first suspect is described as a black male, dark complexion, 5'9" to 5'10" in height, 16 to 21 years old, last seen wearing unknown colored pants, black jacket, black skull cap, and black glasses. The second suspect is described as a black male.

DC Crime Solvers currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an assault committed in the District of Columbia.
