NEW SHOE BOMB THREAT - Dulles Airport and BWI Marshall will see increased scrutiny as Homeland Security try to stop another "Richard Reid" from trying to strike at a US airliner. Increased security screening has been imposed on international flights into the US after the Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin Wednesday. It warns airlines of possible attempts to attack passenger jets using explosives packed in shoes. The intelligence is described as "chatter" was not specific to an airline, or time frame, but it suggested flights from overseas, coming into the U..S, are potentially at risk, not domestic flights within the United States.

KIEV VIOLENCE SPIRALS - As the violent protest escalates President Obama has issued sharp warnings about possible US and International sanctions as at least 22 people dead. Government snipers were reported to be shooting at some of the protesters. The deaths in Kiev came in a new eruption of violence just hours after the country's president and the opposition leaders agreed on a truce. What's the endgame for the United States in Ukraine? It's an independent country, but how hard can the US push as Russia works to expert it's influence over it's former republic.

MCDONNELL SEEKS DISMISSAL - Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell says he's given back hundreds of thousands in personal gifts and loans he got as governor, now he'd like to give back the indictment he's been handed by a fedora Grad jury. McDonnell's lawyers say he will file a motion to dismiss the 14-count indictment against him by March 25. Virginias former Governor and First Lady are charged with accepting more than $165,000 in loans and gifts from the former CEO of a dietary supplements maker in exchange for helping promote his company's products. They have pleaded not guilty, and a jury trial is set for late July.

STORE PHONE TRACKING - The NSA aren't the only folks snooping around cell phones, it turns out your own store might be doing the same thing. The Federal Trade Commission said Wednesday it's looking into how companies are using phone-location technology. Here's how it works: your phone searches for wifi even when your not on wifi. Stores can capture that signal, and use analytic programs to see how long you stay, where you walk, what part of the store you go in. FTC wants to know how widespread this practice is, and how the information is being used.
