VIRGINIA SAME SEX RUKING - A federal judge has ruled that Virginia's ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional, making it the first state in the South to have its voter-approved prohibition overturned. U.S. District Judge Arenda Wright Allen issued a stay of her order while it is appealed, meaning that gay couples in Virginia will still not be able to marry until the case is ultimately resolved. Both sides believe the case won't be settled until the Supreme Court decides to hear it or one like it. Allen's ruling makes Virginia the second state in the South to issue a ruling recognizing the legality of gay marriages.

Nonstop snow and ice storms this winter has caused the highest number of flight cancellations in more than 25 years. SNOWDEN SWIPED PASSWORD - It's the million dollar quest that's always hung over the Edward Snowden case: How did a government contractor get access to so many documents that he upended the entire NSA. It turns out, he asked a co-worker to use his password and the co-worker gave it to him. The employee who worked with Snowden resigned last month after the government revoked his security clearance, according to a letter that NSA. Snowden used a digital key that allowed him to gain access to classified materials. Snowden has said he didn't steal a password, and NSA's Feb. 10 letter appears to confirm that. and provides some of the first details about how Snowden was able to steal so much classified data.

WARNER TWEET OOPS - Careful what you say and what you tweet in Washington. It took just 26 seconds for someone at Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner’s office to realize that it might not have been a good idea to post a tweet predicting Republicans will blame Thursday’s storm on #Snowbamacare. It read "Just a matter of time: waiting for the @VA_GOP to claim this winter storm was caused by The Affordable Care Act. #Snowbamacare," the office tweeted, before removing it. That kind is comment is Usually fair game on political campaign handles, but not official Senate accounts. Warner replaced the tweet with an apology blaming it on a staffer.
