New York's top spots for cheaters

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - Love is in the air on Valentine's Day and those unfaithful to their partners are getting the most action in certain neighborhoods of New York.

The people behind AshleyMadison.com-a dating site designed for married people looking to cheat on their spouses- know a thing or two about philanderers. The 'naughty' site has 23 million members

According to the website, New York's least faithful neighborhoods are: Park Slope, Gramercy Park and TriBeCa. Coming in fourth on the list is tony Great Neck on Long Island.

Wealth seems to be a common factor in AshleyMadison's findings:

Members of the website who live in Great Neck have the most children.

The Upper East Side has the most active members after 11 p.m.

Manhattan is the borough with the most total members overall; Brooklyn and Queens follow

"The proclivity to cheat often goes hand in hand with opportunity. Those with discretionary income and freedom to travel are even more likely to stray," said Noel Biderman, CEO & Founder.

Another statistic that might rattle some nerves this holiday is the number of female cheaters. According to the site, 47 percent of New York's philanderers are women with an average age of 36.

The neighborhoods rounding out the list with the most cheaters: Hell's Kitchen, Upper East Side, Astoria, Old Westbury, Brooklyn Heights and Dix Hills.
