SEPTA Detours, Briefly Suspends Bus Routes

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

Mass transit was hammered in last week's snow and ice storm. At SEPTA headquarters in Center City, they were dealing with not only train trouble but trouble with the buses, as well, on some of the routes. In fact, SEPTA suspended all their bus services at 10 a.m. but have now opened them back up with delays of up to 60 minutes, SEPTA's deputy manager confirmed.

Trolley and train lines will be operating with delays.

CCT will also be suspended, expect for customers going and coming from dialysis.

Most of the Regional rail lines are operating. There are some minor cancellations and delays, so check it out on their site. Latest Updates: Check SEPTA.org

Amtrak has made some service adjustments and is operating on a modified schedule. The Acela Express, Northeast Regional service, Keystone Service to Harrisburg, Pa. and Empire Service are all operating at reduced frequencies or modified schedules. And some long-distance services originating on Thursday are canceled.

Passengers are encouraged to visit Amtrak.com, use their smartphone apps or call 800-USA-RAIL for more details. You can also follow them on Twitter at @AmtrakNEC.
