ACCUWEATHER - No major snowfall is forecast for the Washington, D.C., area this weekend, but spotty light snow is in the offing.
Multiple weak storms will choke on dry air moving into the Northeast this weekend.
Odds favor only intermittent snow or flurries around the area through the day Sunday.
There may be enough snow to coat the ground at times. A few spots may receive up to an inch or so.
A southern storm will have to be watched for the second half of next week for possible impacts in the Northeast due to snow, ice and rain.
The storm has the potential to cause major travel problems in the South during the first part of next week.
