Police searching for 2 suspects in Arlington County bank robbery

ARLINGTON, Va. -

Arlington County police are on the lookout for two suspects in a brazen bank robbery that occurred around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The BB&T Bank on South Quincy Street in a bustling area of Shirlington was the target.

Police say both suspects had on ski masks. One of the bandits held a gun on bank tellers and jumped over the counter to get money. He and his accomplice left the bank in minutes and were last seen heading towards Shirlington Circle.

Surveillance pictures released show one suspect is a tall male, wearing a dark-colored jacket, black ski mask that covered his head, gray or light-colored gloves, gray pants and had a black backpack.

The other suspect was wearing a dark-colored jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath that was pulled over his head. He had a ski mask covering his face and wore light-colored gloves.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
