OBAMACARE JOB LOSS - 10:00 a.m.
The White House is pushing back hard against a new Congressional Budget Office report that says nationwide we will see employment losses equal to 2.3 million full-time jobs by 2021, in large part because people would opt to keep their income low to stay eligible for federal health care subsidies or Medicaid. CBO  had estimated said that the law would lead to 800,000 fewer jobs by that year.  Today the Congressional Budget Office’s Director Douglas Elmendorf testifies at the House Budget Committee on the economic outlook.  Cannon Building 210 LINK: http://budget.house.gov/hearingschedule2014/hearing252014.htm

IRS CONFLICT OF INTEREST? - 9:30 a.m.
Is a political and finically supporter of President Obama in charge if the effort to figure out the IRS/ Tea Party scandal? Today the House Ways & Means Committee will hear from John Koskinen an IRS commissioner.  But who they really want to hear from is Justice Department Barbara Bosserman who's leading DOJ's probe.  Republicans are furious about the choice and now allege that the Justice Department investigation is compromised because Bosserman contributed $6,750 to Obama's campaign in 2012 and to the Democratic National Committee. NO CIGARETTES AT CVS
Say goodbye to standing online behind that person at CVS who's trying to point the checkout person to the particular brand of cigarettes they need from behind the counter.  CVS is leaving the cigarette  selling business.  CVS Caremark is kicking the habit of selling tobacco products at its more than 7,600 drugstores nationwide as it focuses more on providing health care.  The nation's second-largest drugstore chain says it's phasing out cigarettes, cigars and chewing tobacco by Oct. 1, a move that will cost about $2 billion in annual revenue but won't affect its 2014 earnings. CVS Caremark leaders say removing tobacco will help them grow the company's business of working with doctors, hospitals and to improve customers' health.

FAA REFORM TAKING OFF? - 10:00 a.m.
A recent survey of "happiness" of Federal workers found the Federal Aviation Administration has major morale problems. For flyers, weather it's delayed flights, missed inspections, confusing rules or the occasional story of flight controllers falling asleep the agency's reputation has been on the rocks. Today the House Transportation Committee looks at efforts to reform the FAA, both though it's organization and it's technology. Rayburn Building 2167.
