2 injured after car crashes into Va. barber shop

Posted: Updated:

An out-of-control car slammed into a northern Virginia barber shop Monday afternoon sending two people to the hospital.

"It felt like an earthquake, like the earthquake we had two years ago," said Art Keefer, who works in a pizza shop two doors down.

He continued, "The car not only struck the front of the building, but went all the way to the back of the store. Crazy."

Witnesses say a customer inside At-Witt's End Barber Shop in Lorton, Va., was hit in the leg by the car. According to Fairfax County Fire & Rescue, that person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

They are working to determine whether the driver suffered some sort of medical emergency leading to the crash. That man had to be cut from his vehicle. His injuries were described as life-threatening.

The owner of the shop was also inside at the time, but was not physically hurt.
