WASHINGTON - Most people won't live to be 111 years old, but Marie Buckner did.  Mrs. Buckner turned 111 on Monday, so naturally, there was a big bash held in her honor.

At this party, there were pink balloons, a cake with colorful icing, and lots of pretty flowers. Buckner is a big hit at The Washington Home in northwest D.C., and her friends there were happy to help her celebrate.

Mrs. Buckner says she likes fried chicken and occasionally has a glass of wine. She says she doesn't give advice, and doesn't think there's a secret to living a long life.

She can still rattle of details like the place where she was born - Danville, Virginia. She still feeds herself and powers her own wheelchair. Above all, she seems to enjoy a good laugh.
