WASHINGTON - A northeast D.C. family hopes police can help bring a beloved member of their family home safely.  Their two-pound Yorkie, who is named Ms. Pella, was stolen from their home on Thursday.

The family tells FOX 5 the dog was taken from their home on 50th Street NE sometime Thursday afternoon while the mother and her daughter were out.  Police were called, but so far, the dog is still missing.

Along with the dog, the family says thieves got away with some electronics.  Those, of course can be replaced.  Ms. Pella, they say, cannot.

The family says the dog was on a special diet, and they just want her back.

Anyone who has seen the dog is asked to call DC police.
