OBAMA JOB TRAINING - The President heads to "Packers Country" as his effort to restart his second term enters it's second day.  In Wisconsin on Today, will make good on a promise to act on his own to help the middle class by directing Vice President Joe Biden to lead a government-wide review of federal job-training programs. He's also asking Biden to work with government officials and others to help turn the job-training system into one that's driven more by employer needs.

GOP IMMIGRATION PLAN - When the 2012 elections ends, Republicans saw the massive loss in Latino votes and decided they needed to address immigration. Well, it's 2014 and now as the midterms approach they appear ready to finally move.  Today at the GOP caucus' annual retreat in Cambridge, Maryland on the Eastern Shore.  House Republican leaders plan to outline broad immigration principles, including legalization for the 11 million immigrants living here illegally, to the GOP rank and file as they look to revive long-stalled efforts to overhaul the nation's immigration system.

SHUTDOWN'S DC IMPACT HEARING- 2:30 When the Federal Government shutdown last October over a budget impasse, many States went ahead with some-what business as usual since they control their own spending. That wasn't the case in DC. As a Federal District, DC officials had to declare every employee "essential" otherwise the Federal shutdown would have physically paralyzed the city. BOSTON BOMBING DEATH PENALTY? - A deadline for the death penalty in the Boston Marathon bombings.  A statement is possible today on whether the Justice Department will seek the death penalty for the accused Boston Marathon bomber, Attorney General Eric Holder says.  A U.S. District Judge in Boston put a Friday deadline in the case against suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, charge with blowing up two pressure-cooker bombs near the finish line.  It killed 3 people and injured 264 others.   A federal grand jury returned a 30-count indictment against Tsarnaev. The indictment included 17 charges that could carry the death penalty.  Tsarnaev pleaded not guilty
