SOUTH PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Residents have a very unique way of sharing parking spaces in the winter. Some drivers place cones, and sometimes they even use trash cans, but one photo posted online takes the cake!

A few drivers in South Philly are using recliners to maintain their parking space.

The photo brings light to an issue that drivers now face before using anything to reserve their personal parking space.

The Philadelphia Police Department has started a #NOSAVIES campaign on its official twitter account.

"When you dig out your car today, leave the spot clear. Just say No to Lawn Chair, Orange Cone, and Trash Can. #NoSavesies" – tweeted the Philadelphia Police Department.

Reserving a parking spot on a city street is illegal without a parking permit.

Police will confiscate any item used to reserve a parking space on a city street. Residents can call also 911 to report neighbors who are using items to reserve the spaces.
