DETROIT (WJBK) -

He was heating his home with firewood so he could take care of his four children. Now, thanks to generous Fox 2 viewers, Don Epperson has a job, his utility bills are paid, and so many donations came in, he's giving back to other families in need.

Sunday, volunteers loaded up food, clothing and other items donated to Don and his family. The outpouring of love brought the out of work father who lost his unemployment benefits to tears.

"I'm overwhelmed," he told Fox 2, turning away from the camera as he broke down.

Much of the food and clothing donated to Don is going to other families in need. It will go to people who are also out of work, living in hotels and in need of food. Don now has a job with the Greening of Detroit.

If you'd like to donate to other families in need, please call All God's People Ministries at (313) 492-5009.
