CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two men are facing felony charges for robbing a delivery driver with a handgun Friday night in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Jefferey Fields, 26, and Bernard Williams, 27, were each charged with one felony count of armed robbery with a firearm, according to a news release from Chicago Police. Bernard was also charged with issuance of a warrant.

The robbers allegedly approached the delivery driver in the 8400 block of South Colfax Avenue and threatened the driver with a loaded handgun, police said. They stole cash from his pockets and fled the scene.

Fields had fled through freshly fallen snow, which officers followed to the spot where he was hiding and arrested him, police said. Williams was also found and questioned.

Police also recovered the loaded weapon and stolen cash.

Fields, of south suburban Richton Park, and Williams, of the 8400 block of South Marquette Avenue, are both expected to appear in bond court Sunday.
