In the movie "Her," Joaquin Phoenix's character falls in love with the operating system voice on his computer. Apparently something close to this is happening in real life in a video game called Love Plus for your Nintendo DS game player. The game has three virtual girlfriends you can choose and program their personalities and moods and talk to them.
The game is sold only in Japan in Japanese. Men are developing relationships with these digital girlfriends and turning to them for emotional support.
Dr. Nava Silton, a psychologist, she says the game could help teach you a few things about a relationship but it should not be used as a replacement for one.
Technology expert Shelly Palmer says this is the wave of the future. The technology will get even more sophisticated in your everyday life and convince you you're talking to a real person.
