Police warn residents of Greater Grand Crossing vehicle thefts

Police are warning residents about multiple vehicles being stolen from garages in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood this month.

Police have received multiple reports of burglaries in which one or more thieves break into garages through side or overhead doors and steal vehicles, according to a community alert from police News Affairs.

The thefts were reported throughout January in the area between 72nd and 74th streets and Rhodes and St. Lawrence avenues, police said.
