Cheers and hugs at the finish line for 1,000 Arizona kids with newfound love for running and fitness. "I wanted to take them out and give them a little taste of what it's like to train" said William Sunderland.
William will be running in the full marathon tomorrow, a goal that inspired his sons Frankie and Spencer to run today.
"It was harder than I thought" said 9 year-old Frankie Sunderland.
Many of these kids ran their final mile as part of a challenge to run 26.2 miles over the course of three months. a huge accomplishment for kids from kindergarten to sixth grade.
"It feels good" said Spencer Sunderland.
So the kids get a boost in confidence and a shiny medal to show off.
