LAS VEGAS -

Police are crediting a woman's Facebook post for capturing a man accused of kidnapping her for six months.

Sheena Herschbach says she was held against her will by her ex-boyfriend Jason Greniger.

The 34-year-old allegedly kidnapped Herschbach from her California home back in June -- forcing her to stay in a small Nevada motel room.

Herschbach says Greniger beat her and threatened to harm or kill her family if she escaped.

During the six months, she told police Greniger allowed her leave to get beer at a grocery store. On Saturday, she took advantage by going to a nearby library to make a Facebook post calling for help.

Greniger is being held on a felony kidnapping charge that could carry a possible sentence of up to 15 years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
