If you’re from the Chantilly, Va. area, one of the faces on American Idol’s Season 13 premiere might look familiar.  Munfarid Zaidi—the last contestant to audition in Wednesday night’s episode—went to Chantilly High School!

Munfarid (whose friends know him better as Moonie) was a member of the Chantilly High School’s show choir, Touch of Class.  He graduated there, but has since moved to Texas.

Zaidi stood out as the last audition in Wednesday night's episode.  While everyone else was excited to sing for J-Lo, Zaidi made a big deal out of his chance to impress Harry Connick, Jr.-- so much so that Connick promised Zaidi if he blew the panel away with his first performance, he would pick him up and hold him while he sang a second song.  And it happened!
